Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Kris Hankison - Oakview Vet - Plover, WIDr. Kris Hankison

Dr. Hankison is a 1985 graduate of the University of Missouri. After graduation, he worked for four years in the Chicago area before moving to Wisconsin.


He has advanced training in dentistry and has a special interest in surgery. Dr. Hankison is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, the Northern Wisconsin Veterinary Association (where he is a past president), and one of only 18 Wisconsin veterinarians in the American Veterinary Dental Society.


He and his wife have 3 children, 2 terrific grandsons, and a three-legged Border Collie mix named Chelsea.

Dr. Diane Scott - Oakview Veterinary Medical Center - Plover, WI Dr. Diane Scott

Dr. Scott is a 1986 graduate of Michigan State University. She has advanced training and a special interest in avian, exotic and feline medicine.


A member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the Association of Avian Veterinarians, she is also associated with Houserabbit Society and Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians.


Dr. Scott and her husband have two children as well as two cats, one dog, and four horses.

Dr. Valerie Curtis - Oakview Veterinary Medical Center - Plover, WIDr. Valerie Curtis

Dr. Curtis earned her undergraduate degree here at UWSP. She is a graduate of the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced in a mixed animal practice for 3 years prior to joining our hospital in June 2008.


Dr. Curtis has a special interest in pet wellness, zoonotic diseases (those diseases that can spread from animals to people) and soft tissue surgery.


Dr. Curtis shares her home with her husband, Chad, her son, a boxer named Harlow and 2 cats, Waldo and Zeike.

Dr. Lisa Karnitz - Oakview Veterinary Medical Center - Plover, WIDr. Lisa Karnitz

Dr. Karnitz graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 2004. She has been in practice ever since. She was also the resident veterinarian at the Globe University for two years.  

Dr. Karnitz has a special interest in dentistry and internal medicine.

She shares her home with her husband, two children, and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Molly.
